You’ve got to hand it to George W. Obama. He did what millions of Americans begged Lyndon Johnson to do in Vietnam: declared “SUCCESS” and got out of the quagmire while the getting was good. LBJ didn’t listen and ended up abandoning the presidency. Obama got the message after a couple of years in office. The U.S. Government morons and swindlers who misled America into this disastrous military adventure lost everything that they planned to take and hold strategically…but took and held all the money they could lay their hands on.
So Obama abandoned the bad ship U.S.S. Iraqi Freedom, a vessel without either a rudder or safe, that Dubya and the Neo-Cons sank… (more…)

One would have thought that perhaps Barack Obama had shucked being the son of George W. Bush after he polished off OBL when W couldn’t, with precise dispatch, boosting domestic militaristic pride, and trying to soothe wounded Pakistani sensitivities. Then in a well scripted and well staged State Department setting, he dropped his “Cairo II” bomb. It was a speech which he hoped would “reset” negotiation parameters to settle the Israeli-Palestinian dispute, widely understood to be a major contributor to the myriad Arab rebellions against autocracy in the spring of 2011. Last week, Congress passed a new and depraved version of the totally misnamed and misleading “The Patriot Act.” Many Democrats and Republicans in the House of Representatives opposed it…but not nearly enough. Representative Ron Paul (R-Texas), in his remarks to Congress, called it the “Last Nail” in the coffin of what used to be called “The American Republic.” (more…)
